Every year I take special effort on our Holiday Card, I still love the tradition of getting an actual paper Christmas Card with the updates of friends that I don’t get to see as often as I like. I especially love this now that all my friends are having kids and though I see somethings on Facebook, there is something special about Holiday Cards. So this year I wanted to do something different. I wanted something that had the feel of winter, being that I am in Los Angeles, that is not an easy task. So I decided on doing something with Christmas Trees, and again being that we took our pictures before Thanksgiving, this is not very easy to find. SO I went on the hunt and found the most magical place, Christmas Ranch Tree Farm! And Jeffrey was kind enough to let us stop by and take a few family photos!
I honestly couldn’t believe it, this little slice of heaven was basically right in my backyard in Thousand Oaks. I grew up in Moorpark so this was familiar territory but yet I had never been here. It is an old fashioned Tree Farm where you can actually go and pick out your tree and cut it down yourself. They also have cut trees as well and the selection is crazy awesome. They offer more than I could have ever imagined. It truly was a magical place and I can’t wait to go back and visit pick out a tree and start a new tradition! SO if you are in the LA area, I highly suggest you take a road trip to check it out and support and amazing family business that has been around for over 46 years and is one of the last real Christmas Tree Farms!
Support Small Business! You can choose and cut from Aleppo Pine, Blue Ice, Carolina Sapphire, Coast Redwood, Leyland, Murray X, Monterey Cypress, Monterey Pine, and Stone Pine. They have fresh imported tree include Noble Fir, Doug Fir, Grand Fir, Fraser Fir and Nordman Fir. So basically you can get anything you could ever dream of. And most importantly you can have an amazing family experience that can live on forever.
I can’t wait to share our Holiday cards with you. This year we went with Minted and I am beyond excited! So stayed tuned and as soon as I get them I will share. But here is a sneak peek of one of our pics.
