As soon as Michael and I knew we were going to be a FAMILY, we knew we wanted to have family traditions. We wanted to have a few super special places we go to celebrate our family. One of those traditions is going back to our favorite mountain town in Colorado. This place means so much to us, it is where we got engaged and always dreamed of sharing with our family. So now that we have Kenzie and Hutton, it is so special to take them to our little slice of heaven and see them grow and flourish. It’s a place, where we spend more time playing, exploring, and running around outdoors than we do inside watching movies. It’s a place where I never got on the computer except to look up menus and where the only time I was using my phone was to take pictures (and occasionally share my favorites). It is where I am reminded to slow down and enjoy these precious moments while they are little. To play with them, to bike with them, to blow bubbles with them, hey, we even rode our own scooters with them. It’s a place to reminded me to cherish this special time in our lives. Life is truly about those special moments with the ones you love, and I will tell you that I couldn’t love this little family of mine any more. I feel eternally grateful for a place where life slows down, and everything is put in perspective, where I am grounded in what matters most. It is a place where I truly take note in all of the blessings and am reminded to show gratitude for all the gifts we are given. We are so blessed and we love our little family traditions and can’t wait to create so many more.
Checking out the Local Fire station on 4th Of July!
Going riding!
Don’t think you can find a more beautiful backdrop!
This sweet sweet girl. She is fearless, even took her bike out and tried a dirt pump track and crushed it on her first try. Had a few spills but got right back up and tried again. Came home covered in mud and couldn’t have been happier.
This little guy couldn’t get enough of the outdoor adventures! He especially loved the bubbles and catching a ride on Mommy or Daddy’s Scooter through town.
I couldn’t have picked a better partner and I swear I fall deeper in love with him every day. He is my best friend, my soul mate, he completes me in every way and he truly is the sexiest man alive to me. He is the best Daddy in the world and I couldn’t be more thankful that he chose me.
We even rode Scooters all over town. Check out all our favorites from Strider Bikes and Micro Kickboards below.
Farewell, thank you for the memories. Can’t wait to come back! Here’s to many more family adventures and most of all thank you for the reminder to put down the electronics, turn off the tv, and get outside and get dirty!
What is your favorite outdoor activity with your family? Any favorite Family Traditions?

Your family is so sweet! My cousin was lucky enough to meet you at the State Beauty Supply in Boulder last Summer. I was super jealous but she said you were lovely. I love that you and your family have ties to Colorado and enjoy it as much as the rest of us who live here. It’s such a beautiful place to explore!

That’s beautiful and filled my eyes with little water reading that. Hopefully one day I can have those memories with children of my own but you are inspiration.
