So I know Hutton is almost 18 months and yes, I JUST finished his nursery. Just in time for him to grow into a big boys room, well not really but not too far out either. I definitely did not have my stuff together with this one but I do have to say I am very happy with our finished product. It certainly has been a labor of love and to be honest sometimes rooms take time, like 18 months to complete. 🙂 I pinterested like crazy trying to get his room just the way I wanted. I love the Travel and Adventure theme, Michael and I love to travel and hope to instill that same love in our children. I think it is so important for us to see the world and experience different cultures and people and I can’t wait to travel the world with our littles. Until then, we will enjoy Hutton’s nursery and talk of all the adventures we will go on.
Of course, I decided to finally put up all the prints and hang everything on the wall at the worst time, bedtime. Who knew hanging everything would take so long, of course I would just throw a nail in the wall but Michael is far more meticulous and has to make sure everything is level and perfect. So it took a lot longer that I ever thought it would and we definitely paid for it with cranky children but it was worth it in the end. I absolutely love Hutton’s room, it might be one of my most favorite rooms in the house.
The Lighted H was a find from Home Goods!
The whole theme of Hutton’s nursery literally came from this globe from Wild & Free Designs. I found her on Instagram and I knew instantly that this is what I wanted for Hutton’s nursery and based the whole design around this one little Globe and I am so happy I did. I love the adventure and travel theme. I love the special touches in his room. I have his Birth Stats print with his little footprint from Pitter Patter Prints and the Prints with all the Colorado love (my husband is from Colorado) from Hop Skip Jump Paper and lastly one of my favorites “Love to the Highest Mountains and to the Deepest Seas” from Wild &Free Designs. These are some of my favorite Small shops that I found when searching for what I needed to complete Hutton’s Nursery.

I love that our boys are 4 days apart. We actually just transferred our son into a big boy bed and room. And he’s never been happier. Good luck with his transfer into a big boy bed and room.

Very cute room. Your kids are adorable and seriously look like twins, Bev! Does anyone ever mistake them for being twins? xx

Yes, We get that all the time. Until people look closer and realize that Kenzie is older, but everyone always talks about how much they look alike. They always say they can definitely tell they are brother and sister!
