I have an update on my new fitness journey, some amazing things happened once I committed to getting back in shape and I am excited to share. First off, I immediately started feeling stronger, I even changed my diet, and realized something about myself, I am stronger than I ever could imagine. SOUL CYCLE turned into something so much more than exercise, it became a time to clear my head. For 45 minutes I finally take time for myself and I push myself, I forget my lists and I just ride. It is amazing! I have never been a very active being, I mean I used to work out, because I had to, but I was never one to enjoy it. But finding something that I actually enjoy is a game changer. It has become something I look forward to, that I can’t wait to do. I have actually been spinning three times a week. And I love having a buddy to join me, my neighbor and I have committed to keeping each other honest and I am proud to say that we are going on our fourth week of working out, which is impressive being that before this it has been like 4 years since I have worked out.
Soul Cycle has become a therapy session, a time where I can actually stop thinking. Just listen to great music and push myself farther than I have ever pushed before. Every day I find myself in a better place, my whole mental and physical health has taken a shift. It is funny how one decision changes everything. I forgot what this feels like to take time for myself but I am so glad I am doing it. I think it is making me a better mommy and better wife because I am finally giving myself some love!
So please don’t forget to take time for yourself and give yourself some love. Push your self and find your outlet! Us Mommies put ourselves last, but sometimes we need to remember to give ourselves a little love, and that means taking care of our body and soul! What do you do to show yourself some love?

I couldn’t agree with your post more. 1) Find something you enjoy doing. 2) Find someone to be accountable with (a buddy, a challenge group, something) 3) ENJOY YOURSELF! Make it about you!
I started my journey back to fitness last year and the changes in my life as a result have been indescribable! I NEED that time, if I don’t get it I can feel it. As a single mom it’s time I selfishly take for me and I don’t feel bad or guilty about it. Good for you, keep at it!
