I have never been a huge fan of Halloween, but after having kids I have a new love for the holiday. I absolutely love the hunt for an adorable costume and being that they are still young enough to wear what I tell them, I take full advantage of dressing them up to coordinate. Last year they Kenzie was Little Red Riding Hood and Hutt was the Big Bad Wolf, but this year it is all about Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion. I might even consider dressing up myself, I am thinking I might be Glinda, but like I said before I really don’t love the idea of dressing up, however seeing how much it means to my kiddos, I might reconsider. We took some pics of them in their costumes last week and though I am completely biased, I think they are too cute and I must share. What are your kiddos going to be this year? How do you feel about Halloween? Am I the only one who is kind of over it, I don’t understand why you would want to scare kids? Maybe it’s just me.

I have always loved Halloween, more when I was younger because it was more fun. Now since my daughter is 2 I have found a more love for the holiday. I get to experience it again through her eyes! Sophia is going to be a squirrel, my brother made her costume! unfortunately, I am not much of a sewer. I hope you and your kids have a great and safe Halloween!

I’m with you…not a huge fan.for so many reasons, But the kids love it. And as long as they do…we will participate. We don’t allow I.moral or ungodly costumes.we have an annual get together with good friends then go trick or treating! But it’s so cold here…suppose to be 45 degrees 😱

I like Halloween, but have more fun dressing my kids up! It’s been so much fun seeing them dressed up. My older daughter is going to be Shine from Shimmer and Shine, she also got to dress up as Zarina the Pirate Fairy since her little sister is Tinker Bell.

First, your children (and family) are just so SUPER adorable! Love these pictures! Second, my son is a Lego Ninjago figurine for Halloween this year. Finally, I HATE HALLOWEEN! I hate it, I really truly hate everything about it. I get some of that joy you mentioned watching my son get dressed up but other than that, I really hate it. I’m the neighbor Scrooge…I don’t decorate, I don’t buy candy, I don’t give out candy. My son participates in his school Halloween carnival and a few neighborhood activities because of friends, etc, but otherwise I really hate it. I especially hate when it falls on a school night….and that noadays parents don’t teach proper manners for the holiday either. When I was a kid I was taught to not even approach a house if their lights are turned off…I turn off all my exterior AND interior lights and spend my evening in the dark and EVERY year I have trick-or-treaters come to my door! — It’s not the same as when we were kids, and I’m over it too. When my son grows out of this costume (he usually gets 2-3 years out of a costume) I’m done buying him costumes, he’ll have to get creative.

I’m not a fan of it either. My kids dress up for the school and church stuff. But I don’t like Halloween at all.

I love Halloween. It is by far my favorite Holiday! We do family themed costumes. In 2014 my daughter was Batgirl, and I was the Riddler, last year my daughter and I were witches and my husband was a vampire, this year we have 2 different costumes. On actual Halloween we are doing Little Red Riding Hood, with my daughter as little red me as grandma and my husband as the big bad wolf, and for our towns trick or treat on mainstreet tomorrow my daughter is being batgirl ( again ) and Im being Wonder Woman!
