Just as soon as Hutt turned two, he mastered a new skill, crawling out of his crib. Yep, so that sucks. I thought I had more time, I thought I could keep him in there for another few months, if not a year. I know this was wishful thinking and clearly not reality. So here we are, Hutt can not only climb out of his crib but he can also open his door even though we just put on new hardware, again hoping to deter him from getting out of his room. But this morning I woke up and took a look at the monitor only to find Hutt had climbed out of his bed, opened the door and was wondering around the living room. So those mornings of sleeping in just a little longer while Hutt plays in his crib are over and that is just plain sad. They truly grow up way too fast! And sadly tonight, my little buddy climbed out of his crib and ended up hitting his face on the drawers under his crib. So now my sweet boy is going to have a big fat black eye. I guess it is time for a big boy room. Here comes my next project!

He is handsome. They grow up so fast.

Awe sorry he hurt himself climbing out. Thankfully they are so resilient 😀 Good luck.

I was so blessed with my child, he never crawled out. I told myself he would get a big bed as soon as he crawled out, I finally got him a big bed when he was 3+ because he still wasn’t crawling out! Your life is never the same once they can get out of bed on their own. I did put a small TV in my room that my son got to watch on Saturday mornings. I had to wake up just enough to turn it on then I could sleep with him right next to me watching his show. I even put granola bars where he could reach them so he could feed himself breakfast.
