So last week was the week of all weeks, to start we flew to Colorado with the kiddos on Monday, got to hang out on Tuesday and then on Wednesday Michael and I flew back to LA to pick up our dogs and drive them back to Colorado so they could be with us while we spend the holidays there. I know many of you are wondering why we didn’t all drive together, well our car is a little too small and with the amount of stuff there was no way we could make it work. So Michael and I did something we have NEVER done, we left the kids, BOTH OF US! This has never happened and honestly it was harder on us than the kids. We flew back to LA sans kids which was amazing (WE SLEPT) but sad and as soon as we got to LA we divided and conquered! We ran all of our errands, went out to dinner, and then both decided to that we wanted to start the drive that night, the same night we flew in. Instead of going to bed early (this is impossible for us), we decided to hit the road and drive to Vegas! Don’t get excited, we literally drove in and went to bed to get ready for our LONG drive to Colorado. I think the dogs were more excited for Vegas than we were! After a decent night sleep we started the drive Thursday morning on to CO. I am proud to say that I drove from LA to Vegas, and then through Arizona, Utah, and finally gave up the wheel in Grand Junction, CO! Yep, I drove through 5 states! Go me! And I am so glad I did because as soon as I gave Michael the wheel, we hit snow, and not a little snow and WHOLE LOT OF SNOW, LIKE A FREAKING SNOW STORM! Poor Michael had to power through over 4 hours of treacherous mountain driving in blizzarding conditions! He is my HERO! on the way down by some miracle we decided to get off, only to hear a very strange sound from my car, we found the nearest gas station and lucky enough pulled up to a pump that just happened to be next to Our Angel of a man, ROB LOKE who was a mechanic and instantly recognized the sound, we had a leak in our power steering. This good samaritan saw our desperate faces and helped us out and got us back on the road! THANK YOU ROB! By 10pm on Thursday we finally made it, we took the straightest route home (we still have to get our car fixed)! I am so grateful that we arrived safely because we got lucky and could have been in a precarious situation with the loss of our power steering on those ICY ROADS.
So Friday, I was back at the airport. This time I am on my own, leaving my babies and Michael behind to finish my last day on Hollywood Darlings. I am not going to lie, the MOMMY GUILT was tough. I missed them terribly and saying GOODBYE was seriously the hardest. I hate to be away from my kids and I hate being away from Michael. We are always together so leaving on a plane by myself felt wrong. Lucky for me, we powered through our work and what was originally going to be two days of work ended up only being one, so of course instead of going home and relaxing and jumping on a plane the next day I hauled ass home, wrapped everything up and rushed off to the airport! I literally was the last person on the plane and never have I been so happy to be in a middle seat because I was on my way back to my family! I even got to read a little.
So now I have finally landed and am finally relaxing enjoying my time in Colorado and getting ready for the holidays!

Oh man! Glad you made it to Colorado safely!! I prefer to drive any long trip until there’s snow, and then I quickly hand over the wheel to my husband!
