So this is our first Spring Break and to be honest I didn’t plan much! Being that we are gearing up for the launch of Hollywood Darlings second season, which is premiering April 18th on Pop and it also happens to be Kenzie’s birthday, I kind of dropped the ball. So when we got the call from some friends from Colorado that they were in town, we jumped at the chance to come and see them and tag along on their spring break! So we headed out and became unexpected tourists in our home town! We ventured down to the Santa Monica pier and rode some rides (I’m 37 and grew up here and have NEVER done this)! We went on the Ferris Wheel and I have to say it was awesome! The kids went crazy for the rides and it was pretty fun to get out and do something unexpected!
A truly magical view!
After hanging with our friends we decided to follow in their footsteps and headed back down to Santa Monica the following day and checked out Candytopia, which of course the kids love. I mean, a museum of candy exhibits, it doesn’t get much better.
The next day was Kenzie’s ACTUAL birthday. Our baby turned 5! So we all went to see ALADDIN at the Pantages Theatre during it’s final week. Both Kenzie and Hutton sat through the whole show and they absolutely loved it. This was Hutton’s first show and I must say I am so incredibly proud, he was so good and quiet. He was mesmerized by the whole show. We even waited after the show and had the pleasure of meeting Adam Jacobs, Aladdin! The kids were absolutely tickled and they got their first autograph.
All dressed up for the big show!

After the fun on Kenzie’s birthday the next day we celebrated with all of her friends for school! Being that her birthday fell during spring break, most of her friends were on vacation but we still had an amazing turn out and Kenzie was able to share the joys of her favorite play place, Scootie Gootz!
Kenzie was excited to share her love of Care Bears with her friends.
Friday was our first day to actual rest and then on Saturday we had a whole other birthday party with our family and friends. Yes, I know, we had two parties. It’s hard now that we are in school. Her class alone has 24 kids and most play places are limited on how many people you can bring so yes, we had two parties. I will have a separate blog post on that party this week.
And then we had Easter. Not going to lie, our spring break was a lot. I mean, look, it took me a whole week to recover to even write about it.
So yes, we had an amazing Spring Break but I do have to admit, I feel like I need a vacation to recover. What did you do on your spring break? Any favorite adventures to do with your littles?

Hey there, it looks like your sorting break was awesome. We had a low key one with Grandparents in town. We ventured to San Diego to escape the desert heat at Edwards afb. It was so nice. We went strawberry picking and visited the Carlsbad flower fields which I highly recommend, tons for Littles to do.. I have three, Mason is 5, Charlotte is 3 and Ginny is 1. Cheers!
