I have to admit that some days, I’m just lazy and I don’t want to make the bed. I mean, it’s not like anyone is coming over so yeah, our room is kind of a mess. Well, recently I have decided that this must change and I have gotten back in the habit of making the bed every morning, and to be honest, I think it changes the direction of the day. It gets me motivated to get out and do something, to be productive. For me, it is an attitude adjuster and it is seriously couldn’t be easier, I simply just make the bed and then I am off to the races! I guess, sometimes its just the simple things. How about you? Do you feel the same? What are the things that you do to start your day off right?

I can say the same for me! If I went to work and the bed wasn’t made, somehow I felt a mess! OCD big time!

I never used to but for the past couple of months I have been doing it every day. I feel good about myself when I do.

Same, making the bed. But also, I MUST have an empty and clean sink/ counter space before I even make my coffee for the day! I can not stand dishes in my sink or a mess on my counter, it unravels me. I should probably make the bed more consistently , also.

I totally understand how making a bed is satisfying, it can definitely make a bedroom look cleaner and put together. I would have to say my favorite thing to do is get dressed for the day within a half hour of getting up. I feel like it just gets me ready for the day. And also a cup of coffee or tea doesn’t hurt either.

I didn’t used to until we started selling our house and it had to be show ready all the time (difficult with a one year old, glad that’s over). It made me have to clean up after everything I did and it definitely changed the way I felt. I was more relaxed and happy, not stressing over everything.

It’s something I love doing when I do it. I’m trying to make it a habit again now. It does set the day in a flow
Of getting things done.
