As soon as Michael and I knew we were going to be a FAMILY, we knew we wanted to have family traditions. We wanted to have a few super special places we go to celebrate our family. One of those traditions is going back to our favorite mountain town in Colorado. This place means so much to us, it is where we got engaged and always dreamed of sharing with our family. So now that we have Kenzie and Hutton, it is so special to take them to our little slice of heaven and see them grow and flourish. ... View Post
SHOP SMALL LOVE: The Beach People Co
I was introduced to the The Beach People and I absolutely love them. They make the cutest Roundie towels and I love their newest Nautic Petite Poncho. It is so perfect for the littles and now that it is finally nice out, we are ready to break them out and go enjoy this beautiful weather. Any excuse to get outside I will take, I absolutely love our time spent outdoors and so happy we have had a gorgeous week this past week. What is your favorite thing to do outdoors? We love to bird watch, do ... View Post
Snowy Adventures
Coming up to the mountains for New Years is a family tradition of sorts! We do it every year and this tiny little mountain town holds a special place in our hearts! This is where Michael asked me to be his wife and now bringing our two kids up to this magical place is that much sweeter! Last year Kenz took her first shot at skiing and loved it, now we got Hutton on skis! Mind you Hutton will be 2 in January and Kenzie 4 the end of March! So I have to say, we start them young but they love it! ... View Post
Bath time= Fun time
I have to say that bath time is a very special time, the kids absolutely love their time in the bath and to be honest it is always a truly magical time for me as well. It is a time where they play nicely and I feel so lucky to be able to watch their relationship grow. These two are as thick as thieves and I am so thrilled to know that they will always have each other, this is something so foreign to me being an only child but I feel blessed to know that they will always have one another to lean ... Going Fishing…
On our most recent trip to Colorado we decided to take the kids fishing. I have to say this was pretty awesome, when I was Kenzie's age and went fishing it was at this little place called Troutdale, it basically was a little pond and they starved the fish so you were always sure to walk away with a fish. I am pretty sure I used cheddar cheese for bait, but anyway, Kenzie is getting a chance to really learn how to fish, at a real lake with a real fishing pole (her Barbie fishing pole, don't ... A Little Piece of Heaven
So clearly you can see that I love Colorado, and one of the special places I have discovered is the super small town of NEDERLAND. It's about 30 minutes outside of Boulder and so charming and quaint. It's a hidden gem for sure and I love any chance we can get out there. Recently, we took the kiddos there to fish but first we had to stop in at the Carousel of Happiness. It is a super special HAND CARVED CAROUSEL that took over 26 to create. It is pretty amazing and the kids loved it, ok so we ... View Post
