There are a few people in this world that I will go to ends of the Earth for and this lovely lady is one of them. A few weeks ago, Jess and her producing partner reached out to me to attend the big Premiere of their movie, BOOK OF LOVE. This was not any premiere, this was special. Jess and Michelle have been working on this film for almost 10 years and through the years I have heard all about the trials and tribulations, so being given the opportunity to come and support them in their dream being achieved, I of course would be there.
We have been in Colorado for the holidays and Michael and I had planned on driving out this past Monday to be in LA by Tuesday so we could come out and support our Girl. Well weather had another plan and I-70 was shut down because of hazardous weather conditions, (they even had an avalanche shut down the freeway) so I had to come up with another plan. I told Jesse I would be there so no matter what I was going to get my booty to LA, so I flew out Tuesday morning at 5am in the morning (that means a 3am wake up call) and headed to LA. I had a full day in LA and took the opportunity to get my hair cut and colored and got all fancy for the premiere (why not?). Though Michael couldn’t be there with me (sad, we missed out on a date night) I called my girl, Christine Lakin to come with me. We had so much fun and it was such a beautiful film.
Book Of Love is a story of an unlikely friendship through grief brings an extraordinary journey! It stars Jason Sudekis, Maisie Williams, Paul Reiser, Mary Steenburgen and the beautiful Jessica Biel, oh and this guy named Justin Timberlake did the score. (hehe) You should definitely check it out.
Jesse is that rare friend that we have been through so much and when big things are happening no matter what we are always there for each other. I was honored to be there yesterday to support her and show her I LOVE HER and I AM SO VERY PROUD OF YOU KNOCKING DOWN DOORS AND MAKING THIS HAPPEN!
