So recently Kenzie has taken to a favorite dress, which means that every morning she searches for it and puts it on before entering our room. She whines when I make her take it off and she searches the house for it when I hide it. I mean, the girl barely let’s me wash it. And let’s be real, she has a ton of adorable dresses but as of right now this is the only one that matters! I get it, it’s cute but it is killing me that she DEMANDS it always be this one. I might have to get better at hiding it. What do you do when your kids have a favorite outfit? Any strategies you want to share?

At least it is an adorable dress she’s obsessing over! 😉
But really, though, I just end up washing it almost daily when my kids go through these phases. With 2 kiddos + 2 adults in the house already and baby #3 on the way, I pretty much do laundry every day (or at least I should, lol). I just throw the piece of obsession in with the rest of it and pray it lasts through 100 washes before they outgrow it.

I would probably buy a couple of identical dresses. That way she is happy and you get to wash the dress.

Beverly…I can’t even! She is so stinking cute! The dress is perfect on her. My son’s current obsession is his Lakers jersey that he has to have on 24/7 and he cries when I wash it. I want to accidentally lose It! LOL I’m not that mean though.
For Kenzie, I have soo many new dresses I would love to send and maybe one would replace this one. 😉

When she outgrows it, perhaps you can have it made into a little blanket for her dolls?

That is an awesome idea!
