I know the white after labor day rule is pretty breakable right? It’s a staple, a classic and honestly in fashion…I think it’s okay to break some rules, don’t you? Because right now I am loving the white on denim look since the weather is still pretty warm and it goes with everything!

White after Labor Day is fine, as long as it isn’t linen. The cold shoulder sweater that you are wearing is very versatile and the cold shoulder sweaters and blouses are all over the stores for winter.
That is a silly rule. White is classic and should be worn year round.

I agree, I think times have changed and white after Labor Day is becoming more and more OK. Since I’m from the east coast, and just moved to California last year, I questioned whether it was MORE okay out here since it’s warm all year round? 🙂 Also I think perceptions are that tops are more acceptable to wear vs pants after Labor Day.
Fall colors are always fun to get into when the weather and leaves are changing. White just feels crisper and brighter and reminiscent of summer. It’s a classic that can go with anything- I wore a white sweater this week with gray jeans!
Totally fine to wear white after Labor Day – I say wear whatever makes you happy no matter the time of year!!!
I think the no white after Labor Day applies only to shoes & handbags. That’s my interpretation of it anyway.
